Bryden Wood win Paul Cadden art commission with [tectiva] Graphite
In January 2021 we launched [tectiva] Graphite. The darkest colour in the stylish, muted range.
As part of the launch EQUITONE ran a competition to win a bespoke artwork by award-winning and celebrated hyper-realistic Graphite artist, Paul Cadden. The lucky winner of the competition was Cristina Portoles, an Architect at Bryden Wood, London.

Architect Martien Van Vliet (Bureau Bos) specifies EQUITONE for the renovation of the De Hoeve primary school in The Netherlands
When De Hoeve Primary School in Hoevelaken (The Netherlands) decided to find an architect to renovate its buildings, the management's choice quickly fell on architect Martien Van Vliet, from Bureau Bos. The architectural firm has acquired more than half a century of experience in various sectors, including education. Martien Van Vliet and De Hoeve primary school decided to collaborate to bring to life this project with EQUITONE playing an important role in this story.

Dinton Pastures Activity Centre – a Net Zero Carbon design
HLM Architects were asked by Wokingham Borough Council to create a community centred and modern building to replace the old and dated Activity Centre. HLM’s design is inspired by the centre’s beautiful and natural setting and supported the Council’s commitment to be carbon neutral by 2030.

3 EQUITONE projects nominated for Architizer A+Awards
The nominees for the Architizer A+Awards have been announced, and voting is open through 25 June 2021. Reputable judges narrowed down the thousands of entries to five finalists in the different categories and it’s up to the public vote to select the best of the best. Amongst the finalists, three projects incorporated EQUITONE as a building material.

MOSM Canoe Centre with EQUITONE, finalist Building of the Year 2021
Which buildings inspire the architectural profession most? Every year, ArchDaily searches for Buildings of the Year in 15 categories. The MOSM Canoe Training Centre in Tychy, Poland, featuring EQUITONE [linea] and EQUITONE [pictura] in its facade, is one of 75 finalists. But the final winner will depend on your vote! Experimental construction using recycled fibre cement panels
Following on from the concepts of grey energy and resource conservation, recycled sauna benches, old industrial cast glass panels and EQUITONE fibre cement panels (previously known as Eternit panels) were used for the façade of an innovative pilot research project in the Kronsberg World Exhibition district of Hanover.
