  • Uni-Rivet: The EQUITONE Stainless Steel UNI-Rivet is a color-matched, stainless steel fastener designed for face-fixing 8mm fiber cement panels to metal subframes. Installed through oversized holes with a plastic sleeve, it enables three-way movement to minimize panel stress and offers high pullout capacity—making it ideal for projects with elevated wind load requirements.

Plan for Movement

Use oversized 11 mm holes in the panel to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction. Designate two STOP points per panel (typically near the top-center and bottom-center) to anchor the panel, with all other fasteners acting as GO points to allow free movement.

Mind the Fastener Layout

Align fasteners consistently and consider panel module dimensions early in the design phase. A clean, symmetrical pattern enhances the aesthetic, especially when using visible rivets or screws.

Use Foam Tape for Ventilation and Support
