Texture in Architecture

Texture plays a powerful yet often overlooked role in how we experience architecture. Developed in collaboration with materials expert Jim  Biddulph and poet and RIBA Fellow LionHeart, this course explores the sensory, emotional, and historical dimensions of texture in the built environment. From natural systems to neuroscience, attendees will examine how texture influences perception—and how to apply it more intentionally in their own design practice.
